By using hmmmm at hmmmm.org you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. What hmmmm Is

hmmmm is a tool that helps you create AI-assisted product comparison pages. You paste options, we use Anthropic's Claude models to draft a comparison, and a human author reviews and publishes. Every comparison is labeled “AI-assisted, reviewed by [Author].”

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use hmmmm. By publishing a comparison or annotation, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Author Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the comparison page you publish, including the display name and any credentials you attach to it.
  • Don't impersonate someone else or claim credentials you don't hold.
  • Don't publish comparisons designed to defame, harass, or target a specific person.
  • Published comparisons are public and may be indexed by search engines, shared, and quoted.

4. Annotations & Votes

Annotations must reflect honest opinions. Don't post spam, ads, harassment, or content that violates anyone's rights. We may remove annotations that break these rules and may rate-limit or block accounts that abuse the system. Votes are advisory and intended to surface useful takes — they're not guaranteed counts.

5. User Content License

You keep ownership of the content you submit (comparison context, factors, annotations, your display name). By submitting it, you grant hmmmm a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute it on and via the platform — including in social previews, OG images, and search-engine results — for the purpose of operating the service.

6. AI-Generated Output

Comparison drafts are generated by AI and reviewed by the publishing author. They're intended as informational starting points, not professional advice. hmmmm doesn't make medical, safety, legal, or financial claims, and we block those at the prompt level when we can. Always verify product details, prices, ingredients, and safety information against the manufacturer or a qualified professional before relying on them.

7. Prohibited Use

  • Submitting URLs to malware, phishing, or otherwise illegal content
  • Using hmmmm to harass, defame, or target a specific person
  • Scraping, crawling, or automated access beyond normal use
  • Reverse engineering or attempting to extract API keys or model prompts
  • Bypassing rate limits, vote-prevention, or moderation
  • Using the service for any unlawful purpose

8. Removal & Takedown

We may remove or unpublish a comparison or annotation at any time if it violates these Terms, infringes someone's rights, or risks harm. If you authored a comparison and want it removed, email us. If you believe content on hmmmm infringes your copyright or trademark, see the Contact page for takedown instructions.

9. No Endorsement

hmmmm is an independent tool. We don't sell the products being compared and (currently) don't take affiliate commissions for ranking. When that changes, we'll disclose it on every relevant page. Mentions of brand names or products are for identification only and don't imply endorsement by those brands.

10. Disclaimer

hmmmm is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that comparisons are accurate, current, or complete. We don't guarantee uptime.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, hmmmm is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or your reliance on any comparison. Our total liability is limited to $100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold hmmmm harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from content you submit or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or remove access for anyone who violates these Terms. You can stop using hmmmm at any time. Removal of a comparison may take up to 7 days to fully propagate through caches and search indexes.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved under applicable federal and state law.
